James Brault
I've worked with a number of college clients who have struggled with anxiety, depression, social anxiety, adjusting, perfectionism, relationship issues, and stress. I offer psychological testing and therapy.
I currently practice as a Pre-Doctoral Intern under the supervision of Dr. Meghan Fox and associated clinical faculty. I'm committed to providing a trusting, supportive and non-judgmental space for my clients to explore their inner world and make lasting change. Clients often tell me they feel comfortable sharing anything with me. That’s not by accident. I’ve spent decades building the trust, insight, and experience that helps clients uncover blind spots, reframe challenges, and create meaningful growth.
I primarily draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing to help my clients. I also integrate mindfulness and somatic practices.
I am a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University. I earned a Master of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Binghamton University.
My background includes being a Fortune 500 Chief Human Resources Officer, CEO and Master Trainer for retired Navy SEAL Commander Mark Divine’s Unbeatable Mind and SEALFIT companies, a consultant specializing in culture and organizational development, and an Executive Coach. I am certified in Yoga, Meditation, Breathwork, and Ericksonian Hypnosis. I've traveled extensively and worked with people in 36 countries.
