I am a psychiatrist and therapist who is committed to collaborative and compassionate care for individuals dealing with a range of life difficulties. My goal is to help patients understand themselves better, live more fulfilling lives, and cope with difficulties in more constructive ways. I work with individuals with a range of problems, including depression, anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia, and dissatisfaction in relationships and work. I develop personalized treatments that integrate psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and supportive psychotherapies with medications, when needed.
I have found it very rewarding to work with young adults who are experiencing a first episode of depression or anxiety. I have often worked with undergraduate and graduate students who are grappling with the impact of mental health issues on their lives.
After graduating from NYU School of Medicine, I completed my psychiatric training at Columbia University Medical Center, where I served as Chief Resident. After residency, I worked as an Attending Physician at New York Presbyterian Hospital - Columbia University Medical Center where I enjoyed teaching residents and medical students. I have previously worked at the Columbia Univeristy and Fairfield University Student Mental Health Centers.
I can provide you with paperwork for reimbursement from your insurance company if you are seeking out-of-network sessions.
