Jaclyn LoBue
As a Dual Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC), I specialize in ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and OCD for individuals ages 10 and up. A special passion of mine is working with adolescents and young adults, a stage of life that brings unique pressures and opportunities for growth.
Whatever brings you here, you can count on me to show up as a trusted, genuine partner in your care. My focus is on helping you navigate life's challenges while working toward your optimal health and wellness. Building a real relationship with you isn't just something I value — it's central to everything I do.
When we work together, you can expect a space that is professional yet relaxed, one where you feel comfortable being yourself. Drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the power of genuine connection, I tailor care specifically to you, so you feel both supported and empowered to take an active role in your own healing.
At all times, my approach is patient-centered, collaborative, and evidence-based. At the heart of it is a therapeutic environment built on trust, openness, and a rapport that grows stronger over time. Your care should feel like yours, and that's exactly what we'll create together.
My path to mental health care has been one of purpose and evolution. It began while obtaining my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in 2003, when I pursued psychology electives to earn a minor. After graduating, I relocated from Pennsylvania to Virginia to build my nursing career, spending more than thirteen years specializing in emergency medicine. In the ED, I encountered patients in the depths of mental health crises, individuals facing some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Those experiences deepened my commitment to mental health and ultimately shaped the practitioner I've become.
From there, I earned my Master's Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner and spent the following five years in practice before returning to school to earn my Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner certification. Today, I bring eighteen years of experience in the medical field, a breadth of clinical perspective that informs how I see and care for each person who walks through my door.
Life outside of work keeps me grounded and energized. My rescue pup, a spirited 13-year-old, is my constant companion and favorite source of joy. At home, you'll find me tending to my plants, working on garden projects, or knee-deep in a DIY home improvement. There's also a small cooking operation happening in my kitchen: homemade kombucha, hot sauce, pickles, dried herbs, and whatever else sparks curiosity.
A not-so-secret passion of mine is organizing — it genuinely brings me peace. And when it comes to staying physically and mentally strong, I love lifting weights and pushing myself at Orange Theory. Balance, growth, and a little creativity in everything is how I aim to live, and it's the same spirit I bring to my work with you.
