Jackie Bookman
I am well-versed in working with people of all ages and life experiences, including those coping with depression and anxiety, stress, loss, lack of motivation, adjustment, trauma, and life transitions. I am particularly interested in working with individuals on early adulthood life transitions including college and early career. I work with individuals to build awareness and insight, find effective coping skills, and have healthy, satisfying relationships.
I recognize that there is no one-size-fits-all model for therapy and draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness, in order to best meet a person’s needs and goals. As a therapist, my style is warm, conversational, and supportive, with a focus on building upon strengths & fostering personal growth.
My overarching priority for therapy is to establish a nurturing therapeutic relationship based on trust, comfort, & empowerment. My greatest hope for my clients is that they are happy and whole and can become the best versions of themselves.
