Dr. Hue-Sun Ahn approaches psychological issues from the perspective that one’s psychological development is affected by one’s personal history and by the current environment. She aims to help individuals identify strengths and resources that promote resiliency, healthy relationships, and personal development. She uses an insight-oriented approach in therapy but integrates various therapeutic approaches that best meet the needs of each client.
Dr. Hue-Sun Ahn is a 1.5 generation Korean American and she is bilingual in Korean and English. She received her bachelors degree from Johns Hopkins University and her masters and doctoral degrees in counseling psychology from University of Pennsylvania. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Pennsylvania Counseling and Psychological Services and has worked at several university counseling centers in the region, including Princeton University, The College of New Jersey and Temple University.
