Hi! My name is Melissa Mason (she/her) and I'm a seasoned therapist with an established history of working with adolescents & young adults. I possess clinical expertise in eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma & other co-occurring disorders & I specialize in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) designed to reduce symptoms of trauma & PTSD. In addition to my clinical training I have been extensively trained in the use of yoga & mindfulness as a complimentary intervention. I recognize the strong connection between mind & body & work to help clients develop practices that enhance their overall wellness. My therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that an effective therapist builds good relationships, built on mutual respect & trust. This sets the tone for the work & allows the client to feel safe enough to be vulnerable. I work with clients to develop insight into the function of their presenting problem without shame or judgement, allowing them to find alternative ways to get their needs met. I believe in taking a multidimensional approach to treatment & work collaboratively with allied professionals to ensure each patient is getting the most comprehensive care possible. I whole heartedly believe recovery from whatever you are struggling with is possible & aim to impart that hope to my clients. My approach is warm, open & non-judgmental.
