Dr. James Honeycutt
Licensed to offer therapy services in Virginia, Tennessee, and Michigan, Dr. Honeycutt is often sought out due to the advanced IFS (Level 3) training he received in 2010 under the model's founder, Dr. Richard Schwartz. With particular interest in how the ancient Judeo-Christian understanding of the psyche (soul) overlaps with modern theories of mental health, he has spoken on this subject at conferences, educational seminars, and university classrooms.
Approaching work with clients from a Christian framework of psycho-spiritual health, Dr. Honeycutt combines modern-day techniques and psychological research with an ancient understanding of the human condition as created by God. Non-Christian clients who are interested in such an approach are also welcome. Sessions are typically offered online for those living outside the Lynchburg area.
