I believe that healing modalities that combine mind, body, and spirit can be effective in treating issues more deeply. I currently offer EMDR as well as Qigong. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a powerful psychotherapy method designed to facilitate healing from the effects of traumatic life experiences. EMDR therapy demonstrates the mind's remarkable capacity to recover from psychological trauma, much like the body's ability to heal from physical injuries. By utilizing eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR enables individuals to process their traumatic events in a more adaptive manner, leading to the alleviation of emotional pain and distressing symptoms.
Qigong is a Chinese healing practice that can help improve mind, body, and spirit. This practice invites the idea that Qi is energy that runs through the body. I incorporate this healing philosophy to work through emotional traumas. In our work together, I invite you to bring in a recent round of bloodwork because it provides a snapshot of your physical health. Through reviewing it, I can provide a Qigong prescription of foods, supplements, and other recommendations to help you improve in this area. Additionally, there are specific Qigong protocols that will be used to help heal trauma. Depending on what you may need, I may teach Qigong exercises, meditation as well as assess and re-balance your Qi in an effort to deeply heal from challenging emotional experiences.
