Heather Figueiredo

Hi, I’m Heather and I am a Resident in Counseling and the Intake Coordinator here at Health in Mind. Prior to starting my journey as a counselor, I was an early childhood special education teacher for 13 years. I am thrilled to be part of this team and value learning alongside these amazing counselors to expand my depth and breadth of knowledge and practice.

The core of my work stems from developing trusted, warm, judgment-free relationships with clients through genuine curiosity. I care deeply about helping clients extract joy from life and develop meaningful existence in our ever-changing world while navigating the hardships that are sure to come with it. Additionally, I believe in the power of the mind-body connection and work to help clients strengthen this relationship through mindfulness and grounding that promotes overall health and well being. I look forward to working with you as we fill your toolbox with skills and strategies to cope with challenges and celebrate the beauty and wonder of this life.
