Congrats! You have done the first and often hardest step of finding a therapist. During these difficult times, it makes sense that you might be feeling lost and needing more support. This time can be especially hard for people who have experienced trauma or struggle with anxiety and depression. I specialize in working with young adults who have gone through recent or past trauma(s) or who struggle with long term depression or anxiety. I want to teach you the skills that you need to be your own therapist.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is an evidence based practice, that helps you learn the skills to become your own therapist. CBT is a collaborative approach that empowers you to be in the driver's seat of your treatment. Through my experience and research, CBT has show to be beneficial for those who struggle with PTSD, depression, and anxiety.
It is important to me to provide a non-judgmental, empathetic place where you can share your thoughts and feelings.
I can provide you with paperwork for reimbursement from your insurance company if you are seeking out-of-network sessions.
