Alayna Roman (she/her) is originally from Lynchburg, Virginia and
received her M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the
University of Lynchburg. She is excited to plant herself in the
Richmond community and serve her clients here.
She enjoys working with individuals who are seeking to better
understand themselves. Issues that she addresses in counseling
include, but are not limited to: life transitions, religious
transitions, religious trauma, trauma, identity issues, self-esteem,
stress management, grief and loss, communication difficulties, autism, depression, and anxiety. She also loves working with people in the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities.
She works with couples and individuals. Alayna is also sex-positive, kink allied, and works alongside open and polyamorous couples as well. She believes that the greatest outcome of counseling happens when the counselor and client(s) are authentically themselves. She views counseling as a safe space where clients can explore themselves without fear of judgment and works collaboratively with each client to set goals for therapy. Alayna uses humanistic approaches to counseling
that are person-centered and flexible to help best meet the needs of each client. She also believes that counseling is a process where she and her clients can use their strengths and awareness to help better their lives.
In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, exploring new areas, finding the best eats, and curling up on the couch with a good movie, a blanket, and a candle.
Diara Watson,
Hello! I am a Licensed Resident in Counseling. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University. I work with individuals ages 4 through adulthood, supporting clients across various stages of life.
My specialties include, but are not limited to, navigating trauma, grief, life transitions, and self-esteem challenges. I provide trauma-informed, solution-focused, and strength-based care designed to help you reconnect with your resilience and move toward meaningful, lasting change
Sheevah Amen,
I am an LPC-Resident. My education journey started at Virginia State University where I graduated with my bachelors in biology and a double minor in chemistry and philosophy. From there, I became a certified doula and received my masters in clinical mental health counseling from South University. I love learning new things and exploring myself and others through conversation, culture, and art.
My goal as a therapist that counsels from an Internal Family Systems (IFS) lens is to walk with my clients on their journey to reconcile the parts that heal and the parts that hurt. IFS will help even the most self aware client to move past acknowledging their trauma to understanding their own personal journey through said trauma.
