I work with children, teen, and adult clients on a variety of challenges, including behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. As a young professional, I believe myself to be uniquely able to connect with the needs and culture of today's teens and young adults. I also consider myself an ally to all racial groups as well as the queer community. As a therapist with a commitment to lifelong learning, I know it is my responsibility to approach issues of diversity with humility, empathy, and openness.
My primary therapeutic approaches are cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness strategies. CBT involves examining the relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and finding ways to disrupt patterns in our lives that bring us distress. Exploring the mind-body connection is also helpful for alleviating symptoms of anxiety and stress.
