Hello, I'm Hannah Pinkston, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia and Texas. With years of experience in the mental health field, I've had the privilege of working with individuals, groups, couples, and families at various life stages and from diverse backgrounds. My goal is to help you achieve sustainable empowerment through habit development, increased self-awareness, and enhanced life perspectives.
I studied Sociology with a focus on human rights and global studies at Mount St. Mary's College, earned my Bachelor of Science in Marriage & Family Studies from Brigham Young University-Idaho, and received my Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. My educational journey has equipped me with a deep understanding of the complexities of human relationships and the skills necessary to support you in your therapeutic journey.
My approach to therapy is comprehensive and person-centered, prioritizing your overall well-being and aligning with your personal goals. I believe in the power of effective, evidence-based methodologies and stay up-to-date with the latest studies and research. I integrate several types of therapies, including family systems, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based, nutrition-focused, solution-focused, and emotionally focused methods, to tailor the best approach for you.
Creating a genuine, caring, and welcoming atmosphere is essential to me. I strive to build a strong and collaborative counseling relationship where you feel supported and understood. Whether you're dealing with anger management, anxiety, depression, family relationships, grief, intimate relationships, life transitions, sex and intimacy issues, spirituality, or stress, I'm here to help.
Thank you for considering me as your therapist. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and support you on your path to well-being.
