Hi, I’m Hanna, a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). I earned my Master of Social Work from Columbia University, where I completed clinical training with both adolescents and adults navigating a wide range of mental health and life challenges. These included depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, grief, and the impact of complex family and socioeconomic dynamics. Through these experiences, I developed a deep appreciation for the importance of trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and client-centered care.
In my practice, I support adults and young adults facing concerns such as anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, grief and loss, trauma, identity exploration, relationship and family difficulties, and workplace stress. I tailor therapy to your unique goals, values, and lived experiences, creating a collaborative space grounded in empathy, self-awareness, and empowerment.
My approach is integrative, drawing from evidence-based modalities including:
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT): I use CBT to help you identify and shift unhelpful thoughts, behaviors, and emotional patterns. This includes recognizing self-defeating beliefs and learning to reframe them in healthier, more adaptive ways. CBT also involves building coping strategies, problem-solving skills, and emotion regulation techniques.
Psychodynamic therapy explores how unconscious thoughts, early life experiences, and relational patterns influence current behavior and emotional well-being. We'll work to bring awareness to underlying issues that may be shaping your current struggles, whether in relationships, self-esteem, or day-to-day functioning.
Behavioral activation is particularly effective for individuals experiencing depression or low motivation. It focuses on increasing engagement in meaningful and value-driven activities. Through guided goal setting and structured planning, we identify actions that can improve mood, restore a sense of purpose, and support positive change.
Mindfulness-based interventions: I incorporate mindfulness practices to help you develop greater awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations. This nonjudgmental awareness supports better stress management, emotional resilience, and the ability to pause and respond thoughtfully rather than react automatically.
Strengths-based & person-centered frameworks: I believe in honoring each person’s inherent strengths, capacities, and resilience. Therapy is a collaborative process that prioritizes your voice, your pace, and your goals. I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where you feel heard, valued, and understood.
My sessions are guided by curiosity, respect, and authenticity. I aim to cultivate a space where you can safely explore difficult emotions, make sense of your experiences, and build the tools needed to create lasting, meaningful change. Whether you're working through a specific challenge or exploring deeper patterns, my goal is to support your growth in a way that feels empowering and aligned with who you are.
I've had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and lived experiences. I value inclusivity and take care to approach therapy with cultural humility and sensitivity to identity, context, and systemic challenges.
Outside of work, I practice self-care by checking in regularly with what my mind and body need. I find grounding and restoration in long walks, spending time with loved ones, and creating cozy, calming spaces where I can unwind and recharge.
