Hanna Badalova

Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW-C
Last Updated 30+ days ago

I am a Baltimore-based psychotherapist who has treated individuals, couples and families for almost a decade. I specialize in treating adjustment and trauma related disorders, mood disorders, and anxiety, particularly in adolescents and young adults.

I have an informal background in music and an undergraduate degree in English and creative writing.  This framework has shaped some of the work that I do with my clients in addition to my education and training as a social worker. I am also conversationally fluent in the Russian language.

My empathic approach allows me to pay close attention to the narratives and repeating patterns in my clients' lives. From childhood, people are drawn to reading and listening to stories, and as we grow we seek out new stories and begin to tell our own. Oftentimes, we relive these same tales, knowingly and unknowingly, rather than beginning new ones. Every story is both unique and universal in some way; I want to help my clients gain insight as they decide what they want to keep, change, and let go from their narratives.

My style of therapy is suitable for people of all backgrounds and genders, and I encourage clients to call me for a free consultation to ensure that they have found a good match.

I am currently available by appointment on Mondays only, and I am taking out of network and fee for service clients at this time. I am currently accepting Carefirst Blue Cross Blue Shield and will be accepting EHP (Hopkins) in the coming months.
