Gurpreet Singh
People say "you are too sensitive" when you share how you feel. Your family and heritage are important to you but there is tension. It's hard to feel relaxed in your body. At times you feel restless and at other times stiff and numb. Feeling balanced is tough. At times, you feel hopeless. You don't like how you tend to replay conversations in your mind. There are too many negative and anxious thoughts that come.
Thank you for your interest in my practice! One main strategy to help you with is called EMDR-Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. A technique that is based in neuroscience that heals your brain naturally-much like eye movements during REM sleep. Developing a safe space to process your emotions, memories, and implementing strategies that will be effective is essential. I am also trained in other modalities like DBT, CBT, and psychodynamic therapy.
