When I started Growing Into Better, my goal was to help individuals overcome the barriers to reaching their goals in all different aspects of their lives. I have extensive experience and training in evidence-based techniques for working through difficult and unhelpful thoughts and feelings.
A lot of my clients struggle with feelings of overwhelm, strong negative self-talk, low mood, relationship challenges (romantic, social, family, or professional), suicidality, poor sleep, low energy, or increased isolation from friends and family. These experiences are challenging to work through, and it can be hard to find the time to do it all with everything else calling for your attention. Individual therapy can provide a space to work with a licensed professional to help break down those barriers.
I have worked with college students for over 5 years. I understand and can empathize with all the challenges that current college students have to face. Our time together can be able to cover a wide range of topics, from learning and building better executive function skills, challenging your perfectionistic thinking, processing the challenges of college, or working to have more control over your challenging emotions like anxiety, depression, and anger.
In sessions, I will provide a warm and empathetic space; we will talk about deep and personal issues while also using humor and positive reframing to help grow from these experiences.
