I am pleased to announce the opening of Pediatric Neuropsychology of Southern New England PLLC, a solo private practice located in East Lyme, CT. I am a Clinical Psychologist specializing in Neuropsychology and licensed to practice in Connecticut and Rhode Island.
For the past fifteen years, I have been a staff pediatric neuropsychologist at Rhode Island Hospital and Bradley Hospital, part of the Lifespan health system in Rhode Island. I am also a faculty member in the Neuropsychology training program at the Warren Alpert Medical School for Brown University, and the consulting neuropsychologist for the Providence Bruins hockey team (minor league affiliate team of the Boston Bruins), roles I will maintain.
As of July 2023, I have transitioned to private practice so that I may serve the Connecticut community where I have resided for the past 8 years. I offer neuropsychology assessment services for patients four through twenty-four years old. I have extensive experience evaluating a wide range of psychiatric disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, and medical/neurologic conditions; such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Specific Learning Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Tourette’s Syndrome, brain injuries, cancer, epilepsy, prematurity, lead poisoning, intellectual disability, and genetic disorders. I have particular expertise with post-concussion evaluations, complex ADHD assessments, and dyslexia. As part of broader neuropsychological evaluation, I routinely screen for ASD but am not currently conducting ASD focused or ‘rule out’ evaluations.
My training background also includes extensive experience providing psychotherapy to children and their families coping with a broad range of pediatric medical conditions, as well as addressing a variety of childhood behavioral disturbances. While I no longer provide traditional psychotherapy services, I bring a therapeutic approach to neuropsychological practice. I aim to provide a positive testing experience for children/adolescents/young adults, foster trusting relationships with families, and present evaluation findings to families in a straightforward/understandable, educational, collaborative, and compassionate manner. My reports are intended to be accessible to a range of potential audiences (e.g., families, therapists, medical providers, psychiatrists, schools) and provide thoughtful, individualized, and usable recommendations.
Please note that I do not currently accept health insurance, but can assist families with documentation to support an insurance claim.
If you have questions about any of the services available through my private practice, please feel free to contact me at (860) 245-8122 or by email at greggselke@pediatricneuropsych.com. Referrals can be securely sent via email at greggselke@pediatricneuropsych.com or via fax at (860) 426-9962.
Sincerely,
Gregg Selke, Ph.D.
