Green State Counseling

Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LCMHC
Accepting clients Last Updated 17 days ago

I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor with over 14 years of experience helping folks work towards improved mental health. My career began as a field instructor for a wilderness therapy program in Utah where I discovered first-hand how the right kind of assessment and support can lead people to incredible experiences of self-discovery. Since then, I have helped people in a variety of settings understand more about how their experiences and beliefs about those experiences have shaped who they are today.

My typical clients are emerging or young adults (although not always!) who are navigating life transitions; school or career problems; relationship and attachment issues (including those with consensual non-monogamy and polyamory); gender, sexuality, and other identity issues; trauma; family conflict; personality disorders; depression and anxiety; and/or grief and loss.

I strive to be inclusive and open with all of my clients, believing that the therapeutic relationship is paramount to all other aspects of the work. You are the expert on your life, and my job is to help you frame your experiences in such a context while also identifying new ways of approaching challenges. We will work together to unearth core beliefs about yourself and bring awareness to how those influence your daily interactions and behaviors. I am also trained to provide EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) for folks dealing with trauma.

I offer in-person and telehealth appointments. I am an out-of-pocket provider, but hold a few spots on my schedule for folks with Medicaid insurance. I am always happy to provide clients and their families with superbills that they can use to attempt to get out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance providers.
