Pershing Square Therapy

Pre-Licensed Professional
Accepting clients Last Updated 12 days ago

My name is Grayson Thompson, I am a "first-generation everything", Black, queer man of registered associate marriage and family therapist. I provide individual, family, and couples therapy for California residents only at Pershing Square Therapy via Telehealth. My approach is client-centered (what works for you), relational (how you connect and feel connected to others), and integrative (draws on various techniques). I especially support clients in exploring and identifying unhelpful patterns and behaviors, establishing boundaries, and identifying and navigating choice to find a sense of security in their lives. I was a first-gen college student and American, play a college-level sport, and experienced a state public school college system in undergrad and a private institution for grad school. Prior to being a therapist, I worked as an assistant director in a multicultural affairs office at a 4-year undergraduate institution working with affinity groups (men of color, women of color, queer students, and queer students of color), coordinating programs on campus, and evaluating and working with greek-letter organizations.

Pershing Square Therapy is a trans owned and operated, queer and poly-affirming group practice based in Los Angeles. Though the practice specializes in trans and queer population; I have significant experience working with many groups of people such as college-aged young people, people exploring other aspects of identity (masculinity/manhood, femininity/womanhood, and race/biracial identities), people experiencing anxiety or depression, relationship challenges (with friends, family, romantic/sexual partners), and people experience feelings of stuckness, not knowing their "next step".
