Hello, I'm Gina Barthelemy-Morton, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia and Louisiana. I earned my Associateâs Degree in Juvenile Counseling and a Bachelor's Degree in Social Counseling from Our Lady of Holy Cross College in New Orleans, LA. I continued my education at the University of New Orleans, where I obtained a Master of Education in Community Counseling. I am also a proud member of the American Counseling Association, the American College Counseling Association, the Georgia College Counseling Association, and the National Board for Certified Counselors, Inc.
I am certified to administer the Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator, which I find to be a fantastic tool for self-discovery. My therapeutic approach is rooted in person-centered, solution-focused, and cognitive-behavioral models. I emphasize mutual respect, openness, honesty, and a willingness to replace problematic behaviors and thoughts with more productive and functional ones.
I believe that working with individuals and families through holistic, cognitive-behavioral, and person-centered approaches equips each client with the tools and techniques needed to live successfully. I find it an honor to counsel those in their time of need and to witness the strength, courage, and resiliency of the human spirit.
My specialty areas include working with children and adolescents on issues such as ADHD, ADD, grief, divorce, self-harm, and first-time juvenile offenses. I also focus on anger management, play therapy, mood disorders including depression and bipolar disorder, parenting, adult issues, couple issues, and family issues.
I pride myself on client satisfaction and believe that the relationship between us is the most valuable aspect of therapy. If you're ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth, I would be honored to work with you. Let's take the first step together.
