My areas of work include, but not limited to, helping clients with life transitions, unlearn and relearn healthier coping strategies to familial patterns, developing new habits, affect regulations, coping with work related stressors, understanding one’s own cultural identity, coping with anxiety and stress from daily life, and managing symptoms of ADHD and trauma responses.
Drawn from personal experiences, I have background knowledge on the grief that comes with immigrating to another country against one's preference, difficulties with acculturation, and cultural clashes between first and second generation immigrants.
Throughout my years as a therapist, I have support trans-adults manage their mental health as they undergo HRT, as well as support gay and lesbian clients cope and navigate conservative social environments.
As there is no standard approach that fits all clients. The overarching framework I utilize is person-centered therapy with the modalities of CBT, insight therapy, behavioral therapy, and mindfulness. Currently, I am only offering virtual sessions for Aetna, Carelon, and Quest. I offer in-person and telehealth services for Anthem, Cigna, Tricare, United Healthcare, and Carefirst.
The beliefs I hold as a therapist is to meet you at where you are. My job is not to challenge your sense of identity if you have already a firm understanding of who you are.
