I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) licensed in North Carolina.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Bowie State University and my Master’s Degree in Counseling from Webster University.
My clinical experience includes working with adults and adolescents, substance use, and mental health populations since 1997. I has worked extensively with individuals, couples and groups .
I have worked in out and inpatient settings, the jail and court systems as well as private practice. I have also worked in the school system as a teacher working with adolescents with emotional and behavioral disabilities.
I am passionate about working with people of all ages as I try to make a difference through a non-judgmental and empowering approach. I believe that counseling allows me the opportunity to be a support for those who want to improve their quality of life while working on building a foundation that is unique to the individual. My therapeutic styles consist of a combination of approaches: Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused and Reality therapy.
