Are you struggling to recognize your inherent self-worth in a society that often tells us otherwise? Are you finding it difficult to navigate the transition into college and create connections/structure for yourself? Are you experiencing feelings like anxiety, depression, or fallout from trauma, and want to cultivate skills to help mitigate them? If so, I applaud you reaching out for support, and would love to meet you!
My name is Galen Kerrick, a licensed clinical social worker working in WA and RI. Through the container of the therapeutic relationship, I aim to offer a warm and welcoming space to engage in curious self-reflection at your own pace, explore your thought and behavior patterns, cultivate self-worth and self-compassion, and work towards your goals. And when we we can engage your own strengths and interests in the process, all the better!
Through evidenced based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems, I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma, LGBTQ+ youth and adults, and youth and families who have been impacted by complex trauma.
It takes a great deal of vulnerability and courage to acknowledge when you might benefit from help, and even more to reach out. Whether with me or another clinician, I hope you find a good fit, and a path towards making the change you want in your life.
