Welcome to My Practice

Hello, I'm Francis Kangara, a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am committed to supporting college students as they navigate the unique challenges and transitions of college life.

I specialize in working with students who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and stress, often related to academic pressures, social dynamics, and life transitions. Many of my clients share a common goal of seeking balance and resilience amidst these demands. They often feel overwhelmed by school, relationships, and self-expectations, and are looking for effective ways to manage these feelings.

In my practice, I emphasize the use of pharmacotherapy as a key component of treatment. I work closely with students to assess their individual needs and determine the most appropriate medication options to support their mental health. My approach is collaborative, ensuring that medication management is tailored to each student's unique situation and integrated with other therapeutic strategies to promote overall well-being.

I strive to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment where students can openly discuss their concerns and work towards achieving their personal and academic goals. If you are a student feeling stressed or anxious and are considering medication as part of your treatment plan, I am here to provide guidance and support on your journey to thriving in college.
