I hold an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Working with adolescent aged clients and older, I am passionate about providing an inclusive space to work with BIPOC communities with the goal of aligning multicultural approaches amidst various cultures and religions. I emphasize a core value of ensuring a safe environment of dignity and respect for each individual while exploring identities among systemic issues.
In sessions, I offer compassionate and empathetic support that allows for inner healing and growth for clients. I attentively listen and collaborate side by side with clients to address emotional disturbances, school issues, life transitions, life stressors, divorce, grief, caregiving support, suicidal ideations, esteem support and coping skills. My therapeutic style is based on a DBT lens, and incorporates the perspectives of CBT, Humanistic, Psychodynamic, and creative art mediums.
I also have additional science-focused education and training that emphasizes biological knowledge with the working elements of therapy. I strive to combine the psychological and social components of counseling with scientific connections to ensure a deeper understanding of presenting situations.
Through collaborative approaches, Farrah is dedicated to work together with clients in exploring restorative growth and remedy.
I can provide you with paperwork for reimbursement from your insurance company if you are seeking out-of-network sessions.
