Emily W. Gordon, Psy.D.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in treating adolescents and young adults. I have almost 25 years of experience working with individuals and families. I love supporting college students who are in a unique position of figuring out who they are and how they want to be in the world. It is a time of great transition and growth.
I specialize in treating eating disorders and body image, and I am experienced in treating anxiety, depression, relationship problems, life transitions, stress, and addiction. I balance insight and understanding with skills and practical tools for change.
I believe that people always have the capacity to grow and change. We’ll work together to determine your goals for treatment and to develop a plan that meets those goals. I believe psychotherapy is most effective within the context of a trusting relationship, and I work hard to establish a real connection without judgement with each individual. People describe me as warm, compassionate, supportive, and I have also been known to be direct and humorous. I look forward to the opportunity to help you to be the best person you can be.
