Have you ever felt isolated or like no one truly understands you? If so, know that you’re not alone in these experiences, and I’m here to listen and support you. My name is Elvis, a second-year master’s degree student in the Social Work program at Montclair State University. I also received a BA in Psychology, with a double minor in Child Advocacy & Policy, and Social Work. I identify as a heterosexual, hispanic male.
In our sessions, we’ll work together to develop customized strategies that support your emotional well-being, help you manage any psychological challenges, and enhance your daily life. We’ll focus on creating practical tools tailored to your needs, such as self-care routines, mindfulness practices, and grounding techniques, to help you navigate new stressors and experiences. We may also explore past or present traumas, childhood experiences, or current situations that are affecting your day-to-day life, aiming to provide you with a comprehensive and personalized approach to healing and growth.
My theraputic approach is grounded in the psychodynamic, CBT, and DBT theories. I strive to create a comfortable environment where you can express yourself openly. Together, we’ll work on identifying what’s going on in your life and develop practical strategies to help you manage and overcome obstacles. My goal is to make our sessions straightforward and relatable, without any confusing jargon.
