Elizabeth Thacker

Through Counseling Associates for Well-Being, I offer individual counseling services to adults (18+) in-person in Athens, Georgia or via telehealth across the state of Georgia. I have experience working with clients with OCD, anxiety, family stress, emotional instability, trauma, and life transitions. I find it particularly rewarding working with clients who struggle with obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors, or who have experienced sexual abuse or assault and are working to recover and thrive. I tailor my counseling services to each client’s individual needs, but tend to pull from a few specific counseling modalities, including Exposure and Response Prevention, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy.
