Elizabeth believes that all people seeking therapy should be met with compassion and empathy in a safe and non-judgemental space. She takes a strengths-based, collaborative approach to therapy to help those coping with life's challenges increase their wellbeing and meet their goals. Elizabeth works with clients of all ages who are struggling with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, alcohol and/or substance use disorders, ADHD, trauma, identity, relationship problems, and life transitions. She is a person-centered, relational therapist who utilizes multiple techniques, typically drawing from dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and internal family systems (IFS).
Elizabeth is also trained in art therapy, and for those who are interested in exploring creative expression in the therapeutic space, she brings the additional tools of art, play, mindfulness, and creative writing. Elizabeth is passionate about getting to know her clients as individuals and believes that everyone is capable of change and entitled to supportive healing. Elizabeth holds a MPS in Art Therapy & Creativity Development from Pratt Institute, as well as undergraduate degrees from Syracuse University and Parsons School of Design.
