Beginning therapy can be a confusing and vulnerable time. You’re likely seeking understanding and healing, but there is much ambiguity about what will actually happen once you’re in therapy, what your therapist will be like, and if it will be what you were hoping for. I hope by reading this you will get some of your questions answered. I believe that therapy is a process, the foundation of which is the relationship between you and your counselor. I strive to create a safe, welcoming therapeutic environment in which you are able to feel comfortable beginning the journey of healing. I believe that while the relationship is the foundational part of counseling, it is a setting in which you, as the client, will truly get out what you put in. As we work at the pace you set, I will use techniques from a variety of therapeutic backgrounds to help you on your path. These include person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic. This means that with you as the expert in your life and experience, we will partner together to explore how your thoughts and behaviors influence your overall health, as well as spending time processing your unique life experiences. In our sessions, you can expect a consistently welcoming space in which you are free to be you. My goal in sessions is for you to be understood, feel an unconditional positive regard, and to leave feeling a greater sense of self-awareness and competence to face life’s challenges. As we work together, the changes you will see in your life can manifest in a variety of ways, including greater self-awareness, improved communication and problem-solving skills, and greater confidence in your ability to navigate challenges. Much of this change is dependent on how good of a fit I am for you as a therapist. Most people have an innate sense of who will work well for them after a session or two. It can generally be felt in how much you feel able or willing to share with me, trust me, as well as your evaluation of my ability to help you reach your goals, whether those be deepening your self-awareness, improving self-esteem, managing anxiety, depression, trauma, life adjustments, behavioral difficulties, or grief.

We offer individual, family and couples counseling by highly skilled and highly trained therapists. Our therapists can work with children as young as three throughout the lifespan. We values diversity and provide a welcoming environment for all clients.

Your counseling experience will be guided by the latest evidence-based and effective treatments which are shown to work. Our therapists have received advanced training or certification in various treatment areas or modalities.

You will receive personalized care and attention to support you on your journey. You will feel heard, supported and challenged throughout your counseling experience leading to lasting change. Our therapists believe in cultivating a lasting professional relationship.
