Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP-BC
Accepting clients Last Updated 1 days ago

We are taught from an early age to take care of our physical health—to eat well, stay active, and seek medical care when something doesn’t feel right. Yet mental health is often overlooked or minimized, even though it shapes how we think, feel, relate to others, and function every day.
Mental health is just as important as physical health. Conditions like anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and chronic stress affect sleep, concentration, relationships, work performance, and long-term physical health. When mental health concerns go untreated, they don’t simply resolve on their own—they often grow more complex and more disruptive over time.
I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and I work with both teens and adults. I created Pendulum Psychiatry with a specific mission: to provide high-quality, culturally responsive mental health care for people of color—particularly African American, Black, and Hispanic individuals—while welcoming and caring for people of all ethnic backgrounds.
For many people of color, mental health care has historically been inaccessible, stigmatized, or delivered without cultural understanding. That gap matters. Feeling seen, understood, and respected in treatment directly impacts outcomes. At Pendulum Psychiatry, we prioritize evidence-based care that also honors lived experience, cultural context, and individual identity.
Like a pendulum, mental health naturally moves and shifts over time. Life stressors, trauma, biological factors, and major transitions can pull us out of balance. But with the right support, balance can be restored.
Seeking mental health care is not a weakness—it’s an investment in your well-being, your relationships, and your future. At Pendulum Psychiatry, we partner with you to help you regain stability, clarity, and control.
If you or your loved one is struggling, you don’t have to navigate it alone. We’re here to help you find your balance again.
