Many people come to psychotherapy with a variety of concerns. They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, loss, traumatic life experience, relationship problems, difficulty with work or school, challenging life transitions, or existential crises, for example. Often times, for one reason or another, their usual ways of coping and caring for themselves or others are not working fully to resolve their concerns.
Psychotherapy can provide a safe and confidential space to talk openly about problems, to express feelings, and to explore issues. It can help us to better understand ourselves and our difficulties, to grieve, and to find new alternatives for coping and for enhancing emotional health, wellbeing, and growth.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist in practice for more than 25 years. I work with adults in individual psychotherapy many of whom find that longer term therapy helps them find more satisfying answers to their life questions and concerns. I typically start with an appointment for consultation where we can begin to talk about your specific situation, history, and needs and about the possibility of our working together. I look forward to meeting with you.
I can provide you with paperwork for reimbursement from your insurance company if you are seeking out-of-network sessions.
