Drew Hines is originally from Southern California where he spent most of his childhood, enjoying surfing and playing hockey. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Brigham Young University. He then moved to Reno and earned a Master of Arts in School Counseling and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Nevada, Reno. He worked for the Washoe County School District in Reno for a few years before moving to the State Mental Health system in outpatient services. Later he took a position as supervisor of the state Forensic Mental Health team, transitioning mental health clients from the prison system into independent community living. After a few years in this position, he decided to look for a change of pace, and moved his family to Orem, UT. He currently works for New Haven, a residential treatment facility where he is able to help teen girls and their families resolve relational issues. He specializes in LGBTQ+ youth, family systems and dynamics, and individual and family trauma healing, working with a Relational and Humanistic approach. He is also certified in Brainspotting, helping resolve trauma and PTSD. Drew loves living in Utah with his two sons, Asher and Reese. He loves to fish the many beautiful lakes, spend time in the mountains, spend time with family, and is pleased to call Utah County home once again.
