Are stress, anxiety, overthinking, or self-doubt making it harder to keep up with classes, relationships, or your goals? Maybe you're feeling burned out, stuck in unhealthy patterns, struggling with motivation, or finding it difficult to enjoy the things that used to make you happy. If so, you're not alone—many face these challenges while navigating the pressures of college, graduate school, medical school, work and other life transitions.
I'm Dr. Laura Travers Heinig, a clinical psychologist who specializes in helping students and young adults improve their mental health through a mind-body approach to therapy. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, stress, depression, perfectionism, OCD, ADHD, AuDHD, academic pressure, or major life changes, I provide a supportive space where you can explore what's holding you back and build practical skills to move forward.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and goal-oriented. Together, we'll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck and develop effective strategies to help you feel more confident, balanced, and connected to the life you want to create.
Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, especially when you're already managing a busy schedule. Whether you decide to reach out to me or continue exploring your options, taking the time to prioritize your mental health is an important step toward greater well-being, resilience, and success.
**I am an out of network provider which gives you additional confidentiality. I offer a sliding scale for lower rates if needed! And upon request, I do provide a form for your insurance company to reimburse you should you wish to submit your information to them. But this way, the decision is in your hands!**
