I'm a board-certified psychiatrist with training grounded in academic rigor and real-world complexity. I earned my medical degree at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, completed my residency at the University of New Mexico Hospital, and pursued fellowship training at Silver Hill Hospital, where I focused on intensive treatment for personality disorders, facilitated group therapy, and supervised interdisciplinary teams.

My clinical approach is guided by a deep respect for each person's unique story. I draw from intensive short-term dynamic psychotherapy (ISTDP) and mentalizing-based therapy (MBT), and I often integrate psychodynamic understanding into my work. These frameworks allow me to explore how emotions and relationships impact mental health and help align treatment with a person's core motivations. I frequently work with individuals experiencing depression and anxiety, helping them connect meaningfully with their own experiences and goals.

What I value most in this work is the opportunity to collaborate with patients to understand their symptoms in context and to create care plans that feel purposeful and grounded. My sessions often blend therapeutic conversation with thoughtful, evidence-informed medication management. Patients can expect a space where they feel heard, where we create a shared plan, and where misunderstandings are opportunities for deeper clarity rather than setbacks.

I've been in practice for several years, and I'm committed to expanding access to high-quality, affordable mental health care. Whether I'm helping someone navigate life transitions, manage mood symptoms, or explore deeper patterns in their relationships, I aim to support change that lasts.

Outside of work, I often turn to music as a way to recharge. I value balance—both in life and in treatment—and I strive to bring that perspective into every therapeutic relationship.
