Donnisha Lavigne
Everyone has an idea of what working with a therapist is like. I encourage my clients to enter our therapeutic relationship with an open mind. I want each of my clients to feel comfortable being themselves in our sessions. I emphasize to each of my clients that, while I may be direct, I am not rude, and I treat each of my clients with dignity and respect. While I ask that respect be reciprocated, I want to be clear that I am not easily offended and encourage clients to express themselves in the manner that feels most comfortable to them.
I utilize a person-centered approach when working with new clients in an effort to increase their levels of comfort with me and with being in the therapy session. I pride myself on my ability to provide quality and competent therapeutic services in an inviting and relatable manner.
I know that seeking mental health treatment for yourself or a loved one can be a harrowing process. I want to commend you for taking the first step in improving your mental wellness. This difficult first step will ultimately be a catalyst for positive change in your overall quality of life and I would be honored to be a part of your mental wellness journey!
