Hello, I'm Donna. Growing up in the Detroit, Michigan area and living in various cities across Michigan, Ohio, and Washington State has given me a deep appreciation for the beauty of diversity. Before pursuing my true passion in mental health, I worked as an auto mechanic, painter, and crane operator in a steel mill. These experiences have shaped my understanding of resilience and hard work, which I bring into my therapeutic practice.

I hold bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Sociology, and I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling while working in community mental health. Over the past 23 years, I have dedicated myself to helping individuals navigate their mental health and substance use challenges. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, and I specialize in treating addiction, anxiety, depression, grief and bereavement, life transitions, PTSD, suicidal ideation and self-harming behaviors, and trauma. Additionally, I offer SonderMind Video Telehealth services to provide flexible and accessible care.

In our sessions, you can expect a compassionate and non-judgmental space where we work together to explore your concerns and develop strategies for healing and growth. My approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and a genuine commitment to your well-being. I believe in the power of therapy to transform lives, and I am here to support you every step of the way.

Outside of my professional life, I cherish spending time with my two adult children and seven wonderful grandchildren. I love reading good books, taking day trips to new places, and celebrating special occasions with friends and family. And yes, I'm also a proud cat mom!
