I use active listening to understand the current stressors that the client presents and offer meaningful feedback and solutions. I understand that clients come to therapy for many different reasons. I collaborate with the client to create a treatment plan that includes the client's goals for therapy and use effective psychoeducation tools to help my clients learn about their diagnosis and current stressors.
