Hey you! Congratulations on taking the first step in searching for a therapist, as this is the first brave step you can take. I am a first-generation Ghanaian who wants to continue to break the stigma of mental health in the BIPOC community. I have obtained my MSW from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with nine years of experience working in the field. I have experience helping clients who struggle with mood disorders, depression, anxiety, family trauma, generational trauma, ADHD, ASD, and adjustment disorders. I also work with families with DCF involvement, special needs (ASD), and family conflict.
I use a strength-based approach incorporating CBT, DBT, person-centered, motivational interviewing, transgenerational therapy, structural therapy, and psychoeducation.
My goal is to provide a safe and comfortable environment while meeting where you are at and accomplishing your treatment goals to live a prosperous life.
