I believe that healing and growth happen when one is truly heard.

As a therapist, I strive to provide a safe and nonjudgmental space to support this process and help you move past fears and obstacles that may be getting in the way of your success and happiness. I specialize in helping adults navigate life transitions as well as stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma related to issues of identity, self-esteem, relationships, school, and career.

Together, we’ll work towards goals such as deepening self-awareness, overcoming unhelpful patterns, learning effective coping methods, cultivating self-acceptance, and building emotional resilience.

I am particularly interested in working with diverse populations, including 1.5 and 2nd generation Asian Americans, BIPOC, and expats. As a native New Yorker and second generation Taiwanese-American, I’m especially attuned to issues of belonging and marginalization, and the complexities that arise from navigating intersecting identities and conflicting expectations, wants, and needs.

In addition to being trained and licensed as a mental health counselor (LMHC), I have completed post-graduate work in psychodynamic therapy at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Somatic Experiencing®, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR). Prior to practicing therapy, I worked in advertising and marketing. I have found that my own winding path has given me a unique perspective and ability to connect with a variety of individuals and their struggles.

If any of this resonates with you, I invite you to schedule a complimentary video consultation and take the first step towards feeling better. I would be honored to help you reshape your life story to create more balance, meaning, and fulfillment.
