Possibilities and impossibilities fold our lives, leaving creases. Within the design, patterns can repeat and patterns can change, but they can also be lost, cruel, unreasonable, mysterious. My faith in talk therapy abides here, where the therapeutic space gives us the opportunity to look at the creases and, perhaps for the first time, to see them as folds in a pattern that can be worked through, shifted, or transformed.
