Deborah Spenner, LCSW, helps clients recognize they have the power to take ownership in navigating their stories. She believes clients are the primary avenue for change, and her expertise guides them towards recognizing their full potential. Deborah earned a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Psychology from University of Maryland, College Park, and a Master's of Social Work from University of Maryland at Baltimore. Deborah helps children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate a variety of challenges, including anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, behavioral issues, mood disorders, grief/loss, trauma, and more.

Additionally, Deborah has experience as a school social worker, and is knowledgeable regarding the special education process. In therapy, Deborah embraces the strengths-based perspective, utilizing techniques rooted in cognitive behavioral and solution-focused therapies.

She helps clients acknowledge what brought them to the office and learn how to independently integrate coping tools into their everyday lives. With this knowledge and new found independence, comes the confidence and motivation to keep moving forward.
