Do you feel stuck in certain areas of your life? Do you find that themes or patterns in your relationships or endeavors tend to repeat themselves? Psychotherapy provides a space to examine how you relate to yourself and the world and express often difficult and painful emotional experiences. Increasing awareness through this process can create new opportunities for growth and change. My approach to psychotherapy is grounded on evidence-based common factors that predict positive outcomes across different therapeutic approaches. These include factors like the therapeutic alliance, empathy, and affirmation.
I completed my doctorate at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, internship at the University of Connecticut and postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Rochester. I specialize in working with adults seeking improvements in their well-being through behavior or identity change and open to acceptance and gentle accountability as vehicles for change.
I recognize it takes a great deal of strength and vulnerability to both begin and persist in this process and respect what has brought you here. Please visit my webpage for more information on scheduling an initial appointment.
