I have been working in the addiction and mental health field since starting an undergraduate internship experience in 2009. Since then I have had opportunities to do assessments, group, individual sessions, case management, and clinical supervision for license-eligible clinicians and interns.
Sometimes we get stuck and feel trapped by our experiences related to substance use, addictive thinking, trauma, anxiety, depression and other addictive or high risk behaviors.
