Becoming an adult is a journey that is both exciting and overwhelming at the same time. There's increased independence and freedom, but there’s also more responsibilities and a lot of stressors that you have to juggle and figure out, maybe even on your own depending on your support system or lack thereof. Pain from past hurts, problems in the present, and worries about the future affect how we think, feel, act, and how we do or don’t show up in our lives and relationships. But the patterns and habits that we developed to survive- if they no longer serve us or hold us back, can be transformed in ways that change life for the better!

To have made it to college is a success in and of itself, and by prioritizing mental your mental health, you can help yourself bring balance to your life in a way that is healthy. You are driven and have made it this far, and you know you can go much farther in the future. I would like to help you, so if you would like to start your therapy journey with me, you can send me an email. Additional information can also be found on my website Shannon-austin.com. Hope to hear from you soon!
