I work with adolescents and adults who seek more clarity about their life direction and the tools required to get from here to there. Our work will help to restore greater balance across your life, with emphasis on what brings you joy and meaning. This approach will also directly address and counteract symptoms of depression and anxiety, and the underlying reasons and ambivalence that may contribute to them.
I find psychotherapy to be most effective as a means to help clarify your feelings and thoughts to understand yourself better. It's a space to reflect, consider choices, and create direction. My non-judgmental approach combines Positive Psychology & CBT to help you to develop greater resiliency and a mindset more empowered and attuned.
In addition to my work as a psychotherapist, I have worked with students for over 20 years as a high school English teacher, coach, and for the last 11 years, as an arts professor at NYU.
