Life sucks. Sometimes you need someone to help it feel less sucky. Other times, you just need someone to agree with you. Life is about balancing acceptance and change, and my therapy reflects that. My favorite therapies that I’ve seen change not only my clients’ lives, but also my life, include dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and exposure therapy (ERP). But ultimately, I think the best therapy is being accepted for who you are.
My expertise is in treating issues that result from anxiety (generalized anxiety, phobias, OCD, and everything in between), pregnancy (from infertility to postpartum to grieving due to miscarriage or abortion), and trauma (which not only includes PTSD, but also complex-PTSD/borderline personality disorder and identity-based trauma). However, YOU are the expert of your life. I’ll work with you to create a therapy plan in the direction YOU want your life to go. Overall, I combine my extensive training in evidence-based treatments with creating a space that highlights your strengths, is trauma-informed, and is also anti-oppressive.
