Dana Segall, LCSW
Dana is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 11 years of experience in varied settings including outpatient, psychiatric residential, school, hospitals and community outreach. She is a practitioner with Tides of Mind Counseling of CT. She obtained her BA in Psychology and Gender Studies from University of Connecticut and MSW from University of Connecticut. She has experience in working with children, teens, adults, groups, and families.
Dana’s specialties include individual and family work with those impacted by anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, relational challenges and conflict. She is trained and certified in Level 1 EMDR Therapy. Dana’s approach is collaborative and compassionate with her clients as she uses components from her training in mindfulness-based models, EMDR, DBT, and CBT. She has worked with individuals coping with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, ADHD, personality disorders, gender identity issues and mood disorders. She believes in incorporating a holistic approach to therapy that helps her clients understand how various parts of their life impact their physical and mental health. By using an interactive and accepting manner, she helps her clients feel empowered and reminded that they can take charge of their own lives.
