Damir Alisa
Thank you for considering my counseling services. My work is grounded in the belief that change, growth, and healing best occurs through a caring, collaborative, holistic, and warm space. I am a firm believer in establishing a deep and trusting therapeutic relationship within which we can explore the issues at hand. I seek to understand, increase awareness, improve interpersonal skills and encourage growth. As a mental health counselor, I draw from a number of perspectives including attachment, AEDP, Cognitive Behavioral, Feminist theory, and mindfulness.
I strive to create a compassionate, and validating space where we can work to explore your stories and concerns. In our work together, we may examine your patterns of interacting, or your relationship with uncomfortable emotions to help facilitate a deeper awareness and understanding of your authentic self.
I am grateful to work with individuals who are curious about examining any barriers or challenges in their lives, and finding opportunities for personal growth. My areas of special interest include anxiety, depression, identity development, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and trauma. My practice is queer, trans positive, and LGBTQ+ affirming.
